CNY Eve at Home

Many of my friends like to ask me via sms or phone what I was doing staying at home during CNY. Well this is a summary of how I celebrate my CNY with my mom.
Let me begin with the CNY eve. Last few years, My family would have gone for a mini reunion dinner at my first aunt place since my grandma was staying there and they cook (my grandma and my cousins) nice delicious food. Anyway, now my grandma is old liau so how can we still ask her to cook for us? Let her relax and enjoy the TV la. So for the last few years, me and my mom just had a simple dinner at my uncle's place la (just one floor below ma so easy).
After our dinner, my mom will start to do last minute cleaning and decorating of the house and I will just hang around and make her headache.
Our simple decoration.... will stay up there till next year liau... see la if next year if my mood is good and 'rajin' go and buy new decorations then mom will have no choice but to change lo.
Then hor later, mom will start to prepare simple food for prayers. Actually Buddhist don't practise this custom but mom said since it was handed down from generation to generation so we just observed lor. By the way the big cake and the gold cow is not for offering, my mom insists to put those for photo purposes.

See, only the pink "huat' kuih, kam and Chinese tea are for offering.
The pink colour cake is call "Huat" kuih (Growing Cake) so if you offer this cake to the 'Ti Kong' or Jade Emperor then hor, your wealth and property will keep on growing and growing lor. The Oranges or "Kam" is same bunyi as 'Gold' so if you offer 'Gold' to the Jade Emperor then Badan Pencegah Rasuah will surely come after you cause how dare you bribe the Heavenly King!!! Ooppss... sorry wrong info, I mean if you offer 'kam' to the Jade Emperor, then you sure to earn lots of money so after pray you better go buy lottery la. The three joss sticks are for.... prosperity kot... and I think the candles are meant to create romantic atmosphere qua... 'Candle light dinner' ma.....
Ok back to my boring story... after praying to the Jade Emperor for health, wealth, long life, good luck, prosperity and an opportunity to transfer back to Penang this year. My mom feels that since we hardly pay respect to our local deities and almost all the temples in Penang were open to the public till the next morning on CNY eve, we should go and seek extra blessing from the Deities to get extra power and energy energy so that I can get back my 'unclaimable' allowance and transfer back to home la hehehe!

Aiyo!!! See la so far........ I have to climb high, climb low until 'big sweat, small sweat' at last also can reached lor, That is our local 'Tua Pek Kong" Big Grand Uncle's Temple.

CNY ma so lots of red lanterns.....

Lots of big long joysticks... Ooopsss... I mean JOSS STICKS light usually by businessmen and businesswomen so that their business become more and more 'Ong'.

The prayer hall from the left there is 'Kuan Kong', Tua Pek Kong in the middle and the Compassionate Goddess of Mercy.

Some devotees beliefs that by burning this 'kim chua' or Gold paper as an offering to the deities well ensure good luck and prosperity for their family.

Offering of candles and joss sticks to the deities

Big Grand Uncle's altar... 'Poh pi Poh pi' Blessed me blessed me.... dearest Big Grand Uncle blessed my friends and me so that we can get back OUR money.... Thank you very much....

This is the Goddess Of Mercy.... Please blessed me so that I can transfer back to Penang.....

After seeking blessing from the dieties, we proceed to the 'Kaw Ong Ya' Nine Emperor Gods' temple located just a few steps up from the 'Tua Pek Kong's Temple.

Here, everything is 'kuning' the lanterns also yellow...... not very sure why.....

This is one of the 'Mui Sin' Guardian deity of the door.....

This is his partner also "Mui Sin" so artistic and colourful

Here is the main altar of The Nine Emperor Gods.... candles also yellow

Closer view of the Nine Emperor Gods Images

After fish seeking blessing... we walk back home and I start to play with my camera again lor....

Ok la I am not so pretty la.... just wanna make sure that my camera is in good order ma... cannot meh!
Hahaha! And hor one of our house pets come out to wish us Gong Xi Fa Cai leh.....

Big leh? Happy New Year to you too!!!!!!!

U.P.S.E.T.....

Last Tuesday, around 11 something in the morning... I get a shocking and unhappy news that totally shatters my entire CNY mood. It was a very upsetting news that makes me and some of my colleagues so UPSET and ANGRY! What a good time to break the news to us.... just a few days before CNY you dare to come and tell us that....

"Minta maaf anda tidak dapat claim duit **** anda!!!!"

Do you know that WE ARE VERY UPSET AND WE REALLY CANNOT ACCEPT THIS!!!!!
How dare you tell us that!!! Before this you promised us that we will definitely get back our money last December and we believed you, we trust you... Then when December comes, we did not get our money and you old us to wait till February and we patiently wait without making any fuss at all.
But NOW you tell us SORRY that we are unable and will never get back our Money?????
We asks why and we get back unacceptable, illogical, unreasonable, irrational answers. Still we bear with it although we are totally UPSET and really CANNOT ACCEPT IT. Then we want to find ways to get back our money and you don't even want to support us instead, you indirectly ask us to forget it and move on with our lives!!!!!
How come? The money belongs to us... It is OUR money, We are entitle to get it why don't you support us? We did not ask you to pay us. We just want OUR money back that's all... it is as simple as ABC.... Can't you UNDERSTAND???
We are not rich or wealthy people la... the money means a lot to us you know... some of us really need the money to pay our car loans, to pay our house loans, our insurances and so on..... Have some compassion please....
It is so unfair!!!We are living in a democratic country yet we are treated so unfairly. Why must we be the victim of other people carelessness? Why should we bear the bad consequences of others mistakes. We are innocent!!!!
We don't want to hear any more excuses, we don't want to hear any more nonsense, we don't want to create any trouble for any one... please.... we just want our money back!!!!!!

Thank you

Inner Feeling..........

Many people that know me thinks that I'm a very....

good, kind hearted, helpful....

friendly, generous, selfless...

and had a heart of gold like a sun....

But SORRY to say...... I may be kind in some ways, I may be generous to certain extend, I may be helpful to some people....

BUT

I am not a

BODHISATTA nor am I a SAINT.

Some of my friends like me cause they say I am kind and friendly, some find me when they need my help, some find me to pour out their frustrations and grievances, some just wants my company when they are bored and no where to go.

I am not complaining here. It is really good to be a friend in need and help your friends but.... sometimes and most of the times I am too "Chinchai' or too accommodating (Some people thinks that I some people take advantage on my kindness or 'cinchainess')

So the problem here is when you are too 'chincai' most people will think that you will always be fine and agree in almost everything they do. Your opinion is not really important as you won't mind,
In short people will take you for granted (unintentionally maybe) . They will just do things without give you prior notice, they will just pop in front your door without even informing you earlier, They will just ask you to do favours with an 'ordering' kind of tome, they expect you to do things for them, they will just give or put things on your table without even bother to ask you whether you want the things or not.
Sometimes people just forgot that I am also a human being and i had my own pride and feelings too and need some kind of respect and own privacy....

A few of my friends was right... they say that I am too 'chinchai' a few of them even suggested that I start to change and be more FIRM.... and not let others just pushed me around. To those of you who sort of suggest that to me, thank you very much and I really appreciate your friendship, I love you guys, on the bottom of my heart.

For those that take me for granted and thiks that I am always "Saya yang Menurut perintah" SORRY Lor, No more!!!!!!!!!!

This time I really mean it!!!!!!!

I don't mind to help people or being kind to people... but I have my own limitation.... Please show some respect la. If you don't like what others do onto you, so make sure you don't do that to others la...
When I say No... means NO!!!! Ok....don't think that I cannot EXPLODE!!!!

If you need me just ask politely and I MIGHT be at your service. Thank you.

Case Close!!!!

Emotionally Unstable.....

Have anyone ever felt like you are just like a sandwich?
Well, I hate the feeling of being sandwich in between....
I hate being the sausage, ham, sardine, eggs, cucumber, cheese, onions, lettuces, carrots, tomatoes or what ever ingredients that you put in your sandwich. I HATE being squeeze in the middle of two breads, pita breads, roti, loti, 'min pau', 'mian pao' or buns or what ever,,,,,

I just need some fresh air.... I need some space to calm my wavy soul or emotions.

I need some peace.....

Sometimes it is better that we don't know anything or unaware of the situation that goes around us.... so that we don't starts to make judgement on people.

I wish i can just turn on a deaf ears and turn off my mind on things that goes on around me... so that I don't start to analyse and change my perception about people.

Most of the time when you starts to listen too much about something... You tend to be influence by the person and unconsciously, your perception change according to what you hear and not from your own rational thinking. You tend to become blind or not sure of what is right or what is wrong. Maybe both are wrong, maybe both are right.....

The worst thing is when you unconsciously starts to take sides and get yourself involved but luckily I am not in this stage yet.

Oh! Just please let me be alone.......

Vandalized Nails and FOOD!!!!!!!!!!

Last Friday was a tired day for me as I had to attend a meeting after school. After the meeting, it was around 4 pm. I walked back to my hostel with Julie to put my things and went out again with her to meet up with Jean, Plum and Lemon at Yogi to have a drink. Later that day wen went straight to the night market to buy some food for our dinner.

While at the night market, Plum and Jean wanted to buy some nail polished. Again I was quite bored so I started to test the nail polish by applying some metalic and sparkling blue colour on one of my finger. Then Jean saw it and she paint another colour on my other fingers. After a while we decided to go back to my hostel...

And that is where I my nails was uncompassionately brutalized and vandalized by these unspeakable, unpredictable, unreliable, uncontrollable.......

pretty young but dangerous ladies....

Those are the weapons that these ladies used to vandalized my pretty and poor nails.....

See got so many poisonous colours.... blue, red (That looks like Daisy Mok's Kenari), pink, metallic orange (Looks like Plum's Gen 2 colour), metalic pink, transparent purple and many other colours.

And this is what become of my poor fingernails after it was brutally vandalised by Plum and Jean....

See? Sad is it.... those unprofessional beautician vandalised my fingernails and they dare to say that 'It was PRETTY!!!!!!' Excuse me, is that what you call pretty? Really no eye see!

Then hor, they forced me to go all the way to Time Square and Low Yat with it.....

Do you think I do it?

You say NO?

Wrong... in fact I did go to KL with those ugly colourful fingers of mine.... so damn daring....

In fact early Saturday, Lemon, Julie, Jean and myself went to KL by KTM without Plum.... (Plum cannot wake up on time so we left her in KKB! Hahahaha!!!!)

Julie and Jean (the Pretty JJ Girls....)

Lemon and me.... (No Lime here la!)

We reached Time Square and terus go to Secret Recipe for our brunch...

Yummy Big bowl of hot steaming, spicymouth watering Tom Yam seafood noodles

A big plate of delicious tasty meatball spagetti....

Last but not least my favourite Japanese maggie mee...... Hahahahaha! Nola, siau ah? Go all the way to KL to eat maggie mee...... That is my favourite Japanese soba, with lots of Vegetables, mushrooms and a few slices of chicken ham.... very nutritious and yummy too....
I thought my fingernails will be safe from further destruction as Jean and Julie were helping me t find RM 1 nails polish remover all over Time Square.... Ceh! You think KKB ah? Where got RM 1 nails polish remover in Time Square?
Later we landed at Elianto and...... my poor fingers were vandalised again by Lemon....,.,, poor me.....
My poor right hand......

My pathetic left hand....

Wei!!!!! Monday I have to go to school leh.... I just dare not imagine the look on my GB and PK Hem face when they saw this........
Then hor, sad to say.... Lemon suggested that I call Plum to ask for her nails polish remover or to buy a RM 1 nail polish remover at KKB (In KKB most of the shops are closed on Sunday..... so Plum was my only saviour)
As we were quite hungry after shopping at Law Yat Plaza... we went for our dinner and dessert before we leave for KKB.
I saw Big Apple doughnut at Law Yat and it is simply irresistible.....

Unfortunately.... I succeeded to influenced Lemon to buy these home.....
Nice to look and delicious to eat...... except
for the mango one (at the bottom right) la.... I dunno why this Lemon go and order the Mango flavour at the firs place and than she said I did not warn her.... Ceh! How I know wow.... I NEVER try before ma and will NEVER try doughnuts that comes with fruity flavour.... my mouth just cannot take it....

Eh! Next time who wants to go to Big Apple for doughnuts please remember 'ajak' me along ok......
__________________________________________________________________
PS: You know what happened to my colourful fingernails? Well, I was able to washed or more accurately peel off the ugly colours ALL BY MYSELF on Sunday evening by using the dish washer...... Plum lo.... let Ah Ying play with the nails polish remover and Ah Ying accidentally spilled it lor....
NEVER will I EVER let anyone touch my nails again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
